INTRODUCTION | |||
TROUBLESHOOTING SWAGE AND SHAPER PROBLEMS Swages and shapers are perhaps the most common and frequently used tools in every filing room. Filers know the importance of keeping these tools in good working order and solving problems quickly. Often the solution can be as simple as going "Back to the Basics". Of course, we realize it isn't always that clear-cut. However, going back over the initial set-up of the tool and checking some of the more frequent "problem causers", can be very beneficial. This guide is designed to help you pin point the area you are having difficulty with, and provide you with useful information for solving the problem quickly and easily. The information contained in this guide is formatted as a checklist. You may want to refer to one of the following Armstrong brochures for more detailed information. SUGGESTIONS ON THE ADJUSTMENT AND USE OF ARMSTRONG SWAGES - (Part No. 11074) step-by-step instructions on the initial set-up of hand swages. Complete with illustrations. SUGGESTIONS FOR INSTALLING AND OPERATING ARMSTRONG AIR DRIVEN SWAGES - (Part No. 11075) operating suggestions, illustrated method for overhead support and parts list. In addition to the above listed brochures, each Armstrong tool comes with Suggested Operating Instructions and a Parts List. These brochures are available at no charge from Armstrong or your local Stocking Distributor/ Service Center. |
